Right here is mother with “Pig Grins on the Guests Middle” whose actual life mannequin will be discovered on the Hillsborough welcome middle. The hearts on the pig are from papers Mother embellished on her gel plate. The center map is constructed from an atlas that mother and pa used once they first moved to city within the 90s. See it right here!

My dad and mom purchased this piece by their good friend Ann Hobgood, who received honorable point out. And so they purchased a watercolor of Churton Avenue for me!

Occoneechee Speedway

Mid afternoon we took the boys to the Occoneechee Speedway, which was one of many first NASCAR tracks to open and is the one observe remaining from the inaugural 1949 season.

Whereas there weren’t bushes there when the observe was for racing, it’s now essentially the most lovely strolling loop by way of the woods!

You’ll even get to see an authentic race automotive!
